Cities. Signals. Symbolic ruins.

POSTMODERN PROMETHEUS IS AN ONLINE MAGAZINE FEATURING ESSAYS ON CULTURE, URBAN THEORY AND CINEMA. WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT MYTH BUSTING CULTURE, DESCENDING INTO THE VOID OF CITYSCAPING AND OCCASIONALLY EMBARKING ON THE SCREEN RANT JOURNEY.

We’re always on the lookout for cool new collaborations. So, hit us up with a message and let’s make things happen!

Our vision
POSTMODERN PROMETHEUS, the name of our magazine, is a harmonious blend of the ageless myth of Prometheus and contemporary influences from literature and cinema. Consider Mary Shelley’s enduring classic, “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus,” published in 1818, where science and the enigma of creation intertwine in a timeless tale. Likewise, ponder “The Post-Modern Prometheus” episode in the iconic “The X-Files” series from 1997, which pays homage to Shelley’s work by skillfully merging science fiction with today’s urban world, highlighting the importance of embracing the other.
Our magazine embodies this fusion, offering insightful movie reviews, dissecting urban culture, and more, all in the spirit of postmodern thinking.
Drawing inspiration from our beloved Jean Baudrillard‘s concept of simulacra, our magazine embraces the idea where reality becomes a copy of a copy, much like what’s explored in Palahniuk’s “Fight Club.” Our mission is to unravel the complex threads that compose the postmodern world, inviting readers to explore this diverse landscape with us.
